The Popularity of Tanning Equipment

The market for tanning equipment witnessed a true boom some ten years ago when the popularity of tanning beds and home lamps reached the peak. Everybody wanted to remain honey-skinned all year round, and all of a sudden that was within reach. Tanned skin looks great, but it is difficult to care for and rather hazardous to keep fit. Modern tanning equipment counts UV-free devices, particularly since the awareness of the health risks determined by the now classic indoor tanning has discouraged many people from going to tanning salons. The spray tanning booth was thus launched as a safer alternative, complemented by services that include moisturizing and anti-wrinkle treatments as well as sunless prep applications and UV acceleration procedures.

For people interested in opening a tanning salon, discounted tanning equipment or special packages are the profitable alternative to entering a franchise. There are companies that take care of every level of tanning accessories assembling, programming and management. Depending on the complexity of the systems, tanning equipment could be assisted by special softwares, but the costs for such programs are sometimes huge. Hence, the needs of a tanning salon vary from lamp replacements and timing systems to acrylic care products, cleansers and all sorts of eye protectup ions.

Bed timers for instance represent a necessary part of any tanning equipment, without such devices, it proves impossible to manage and control the sessions and create a good business evolution. You can install the tanning equipment for manual maneuvering or create a high level of suitability with the computer softwares the salon may be using. A high professional level can become possible with some money investment and little personal effort. And here we should add a few things about the possibility to purchase used tanning equipment, which is usually resold for smaller prices. Is such tanning equipment good quality?

However any investor or consumer that is buying used tanning equipment should use caution because there are risks and disadvantages.  These questions should be addressed. Does it comply with the latest safety regulations?  What are the health hazards in the later models?  If the risks are not known or considered what might happen?  Furthermore, buying used equipment may not give you the latest technology.  Testing and evaluating the equipment you want to buy is a must unless the equipment already holds certification from an authorized testing agency.  One additional complication is that the life expectancy of the equipment is lower as compared to new models.
