The Best Ways to Treat Dandruff
Do you have dandruff problem? Are you trying to find the best remedy to alleviate the irritating dry scalp and embarrassing flakes? In this article, I’ll go through a few basic treatments for dandruff as well as some natural treatments.
Even though there are tons of remedies for dandruff, the more common treatment is dandruff-control shampoo. Note that dandruff can be controlled but it cannot be cured.
Dandruff is actually a condition whereby the scalp surface has a rapid increase in cells. These cells replaced the older ones, so the oldest topmost layer of cells becomes dead and is shed off as flakes of skin.
Neutrogena, Head and Shoulders, and Selsun Blue have very well-known dandruff shampoos that you can find at your local drug store or super market. This will be the first place to go to if you suffer from dandruff.
If you find these shampoos do not work, then you should probably make an appointment with a dermatologist. A dermatologist can determine your dandruff problem and provide you a prescription.
There are many natural treatment that will help treat dandruff. It will be a good idea to explore natural dandruff remedies before you start using them. You should try to meet up with your dermatologist. Make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.
One of the common natural remedies that I’ve come across is Tea Tree oil. Tea tree oil is already in many dandruff shampoos.
You can also try washing your hair with apple cider vinegar.
In short, dandruff can be controlled by various techniques including things that are over the counter. Other items you may need to get from your doctor. So you can also try the natural remedies to see if it works. So do not let dandruff hold you down. It can be easily treated with the many remedies available currently.
