Spray Suntan – Info
Why there is spray tan for tan or as a tanning solution?
A nice tan is something only the modern man can appreciate since in the past brown skin used to the a symbol of the lower classes. Tanning is trendy, but sun exposure is no longer safe. Even so, the cosmetic industry has come up with solutions to make people with their fashionable statement: tanning booths, spray suntan, tanning pills, tanning beds and tanning lotions. Some of these skin browning methods do require the use of special equipment particularly for the application of spray suntan. Let’s see how this artificial tanning works and what the specificity of the method is.
Spray suntan is a more advantageous solution of skin browning as compared to lotions, creams or pills. First of all, there is no health threat for the skin. Spray suntan products contain some non-toxic chemicals and moisturizing agents that create a chemical reaction with the amino acids in the superficial skin layers causing the brown coloring of the tissues. The cellular structures remain unaffected, and thus skin health is preserved. Spray suntan wears off in less than ten days. Although the results are very similar between spray suntan and creams or lotions, the latter are more difficult to apply in such a way so as to achieve an even look.
And because of the faulty coverage you may experience streaks or stains, as well as an unpleasant skin color. Spray suntan on the other hand is very popular with devices such as tanning machines or tanning booths; these devices offer a natural-looking tan at very reasonable prices. In fact, at the moment, dermatologists heartily recommend spray suntan over tanning beds. The tan color can be maintained only by regularly visiting the salon and spraying a new tan layer. A post treatment moisturizer could also be used to prevent the tan from wearing off.
There are several types of DHA solutions available, some of them are clear and others colored. With bronzers the coloring is immediate and the skin gets the tanned glow as soon as the bronzer dries. DHA solutions take a few hours to act, but the tan you get afterwards is really great. We should conclude by saying that people with dry skin, should be cautious in using spray suntan. However, it is best to talk to a dermatologist in order to clarify your problems and questions related to artificial tanning and its suitability for your skin condition.
