Facial Skincare Products – Does More Expensive Necessarily Mean Better?

The first step to take when developing your facial skincare products regimen is to define your needs. Are you wanting to look younger? Perhaps you have acne and want to get rid of it? Or maybe you just want your skin to have a healthy glow? There are specific products for each goal.

Your face is exposed to the elements, sun, wind rain and heat. Your face is also exposed to dramtic variations of temperature throughout the day going from indoors to outdoors. The main role of facial skincare products is to protect your face from these assaults from the weather. In addition to the harsh elements, other factors like pollution makes good facial skincare a necessity in your beauty regime. The air, both inside and out contains harmful chemicals which can enter the pores of the skin and cause damage. There are skincare products we can buy which contain SPF which can protect your skin from the sun’s rays and also from free radicals which are always present in the atmosphere.

There are two main types of facial products, natural and chemical based. Most of the well known brands sell chemical based products and some of them claim to do wonderful things for your skin. The newest of these are called cosmeceuticals as they combine cosmetics with the last drug research. One thing you can depend on with these products is the high price!

In my opinion you can’t beat products with natural ingredients as they are absorbed into the skin better than their chemical cousins. In my own experience, even a low priced natural cosmetic can out-perform an expensive chemical based one. It doesn’t matter how many expensive ingredients a face cream contains if it can’t be absorbed into the skin!

Once you have found your ideal products you have to use them regularly. To be effective, facial skincare has to be consistent. Cleanse your face morning and night and apply moisturizer and eye cream morning and night as well. Once or twice a week give yourself an exfoliation treatment to remove dead skin cells.

The way to beautiful skin is simple. Make sure your choose the right natural facial skincare products and make sure to use them regularly. Expect to see your skin improve in about 30 days.
