Dealing With Cellulites
Beneath the skin, especially in the lower half of the body is a large number of fat cells that are just under the skin and form those orange peel type effects everyone knows as cellulite.
Do not be fooled into thinking that cellulite is a condition in the province of women who are overweight as most women carry additional fat anyway but women who are naturally slim can also suffer with cellulite.
Just below the surface of the skin in the thighs and buttocks region, areas of fat collect and force themselves against the tissue creating a puckered look to the surface of the skin.
Health experts have been trying to discover the cause of cellulite for some time as it is not a condition that affects every woman but they believe it does have some connection to the way the fat cells are made and possibly how toxins enter and are stored within the body.
What is certain though is that the older you become the greater the likelihood of cellulites forming as the elastin and collagen, that also stops wrinkles, becomes less effective. The condition is almost exclusive to women and has been attributed to hormonal changes that take place as a woman gets older as the fat in the thighs and buttocks of men is the same as fat found in other parts of their bodies.
Often the cellulite goes unnoticed and it is only when a person’s muscles are compressed or the skin is pinched that it can be seen and felt but women should not feel badly about having cellulite as most women suffer with it to a greater or lesser degree. Many factors make up the build-up of cellulites which range from the sex of the person to their age, genetic make-up, skin type, skin thickness all have a part to play in its formation.
Despite research, science has no answers the definitive cause of cellulites which means that any manufacturer can make claims bout how to rid people of the condition including cellulite creams that make it disappear. Massage has been found to help hide the indications of cellulite even though it cannot remove it; but is does reduce it’s visibility for a temporary period and is available from some beauty clinics.
Liposuction is sometimes used to remove fats generally from the body and can be attempted for cellulite as well but the use of drugs injected into the cellulite to remove it is costly and out of reach for most women. Liposuction is rarely that effective with surface based fat like cellulite and is more proficient at removing deeper fats from the body which are not trapped in the cells but none of these treatments offer anything but short term relief only.
Unfortunately at the moment the isn’t a magic formula for cellulite removal and it may be some time before it is found although some companies claim that cellulite removal cream is effective but this seems to be better at hiding the effects. Although no treatment can really help, adjustments to lifestyle habits seem to be a better option which means adopting a healthy diet, with regular physical activity and an overall reduction in weight.<p/>
If this is also followed by the adoption of drinking plenty of fresh water every day; unwanted toxins which can help in the formation of cellulite in the tissue are gradually removed.
