Blind Dates And More, What To Wear
It may be a blind date, it may be with someone you know- but one thing is sure, getting ready for a date with someone new involves a bit more than a spritz of eau de parfum spray and a dash out the door. You want to make the very best first impression, and be able to make a connection, or at least have a great time.
So, what are some of the ways that you can make sure that when you’re getting ready for that first big date, you are fully prepared and looking fantastic? Here are some hot tips to make sure that you look incredible for a date.
Figure out what it is you’re going to be doing. This is one area where people sometimes hesitate to ask, but what if you wound up wearing skinny jeans when he wants to take you to the opera? This would be more awkward than simply finding out where you are going to go, and what you are going to do. Think about making sure you know how you should dress for the occasion, and consider this before you decide not to ask.
It may not be easy to ask your date what you should wear, but you don’t have to do it that way. Just ask what you’ll be doing. This is the most simple way to make sure that you are clear on what you should, or should not wear.
While you want to be yourself, and you want to make sure that you are not being fake, there’s also a better way to do that. After all, sweats and a t shirt may be your style, but they are about as appealing on a first date as an old brown boot.
Make sure that you are at least dressed in a sharp casual fashion, but not too casual. Usually for first dates out to dinner and the like, a casual business attire can work. However, if you have done step one and found out that you’ll be visiting a gym- then there is no problem with the sweats and t shirt approach. Save it for the gym, though. Jeans are another thing to think about, but in most cases, they are not all that appropriate.
If you’re going to be doing something more active, a walk or something, jeans are probably fine. If you’re going out to dinner, they more than likely are not. No matter what you wear, keep it also a bit on the conservative side so you do not give off the wrong impression. Later on, you can wear things that are a bit more revealing, but not at first. Being able to be comfortable, but attractive on a first date may bring on the second one for you.
