Things to consider about Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation has been carried out on women around the world for over 40 years and has become one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures carried out. Both medical scares and celebrity following have led to breast augmentation being one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries for the media to write about. The 1990′s weren’t a great decade for silicon implants as their reputation was shattered by a group of American lawyers questioning their safety for use in breast augmentation. Silicon implants were prohibited from being used for breast augmentation in the United states for 14 years as they were linked to a range of health problems ranging from rheumatoid arthritis to possible birth defects. Studies have since shown that modern silicone implants are now much safer than their predecessors thanks to much thicker outer shells formed by layers of silicone rubber which are far less likely to rupture or leak and extensive trials that were carried out in the United States have shown that silicone implants used in breast augmentation have no link to birth defects or auto-immune diseases and suggested that in fact there were lower rates of breast cancer among women with implants. This has reassured many women who have had breast augmentation in Manhattan. Silicon implants will always be subjected to ongoing research, however the Department of Health in the UK chose not to follow the United States lead in banning them as it saw no reason to do so.
The development and refinement of new techniques means Manhattan breast augmentation patients can now not only choose the type of implant they have, but also where to have the incisions made and where to have the implant placed. Implants have benefitted from technological advancements meaning a wider range and style of implants are available for surgeons to create much more personalised breast augmentations.
The increase in breast size is no longer limited by the implants available, only by the skill of the surgeon and the choice of the patient. Of course, these are all things that would be discussed in detail with the surgeon at pre-surgery consultation which is essential before even considering having breast enhancement in Aurora.
